The Role

As the US Finance Assistant, they will work mainly with multiple departments within the business and external vendors to reconcile the Accounts Payable ledger. Their responsibilities often include processing invoices, managing expense accounts and processing payment runs. They help ensure accuracy in transactions, comply with regulations, and support senior finance staff in Month End and audit tasks. Strong attention to detail is essential for success in this role.

In this role you’ll get to:

• Manage the US Accounts payable function, processing invoices against PO’s and manually.

• Assisting with the Close of AP at Month End & The Statutory audit.
• Processing Mid-month & EOM payment runs & track outgoing payments.
• Has the desire to improve processes and is willing to put forward suggestions and implement them confidently.
• Reconciling Vendor Accounts against statements.
• Post and allocate daily direct debits & payments.
• Assist with Canada and US Sales Tax.
• Reconcile Credit Card transactions & Expenses.
• Track outgoing payments.
• Other ad hoc requests as required.

What we are looking for in you:

• Experience in a Finance Assistant role or similar.
• Confident Excel user, Microsoft Navision experience would be a bonus.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, able to work with a wide range of departments and vendors.
• Proactive, positive and can-do attitude.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlines.
