Production Planner (12 month FTC)
Who are we?
Helping you have healthy hair has been our mane goal since 2007. No matter your hair type – straight, curly, fine, fragile, or coily – our range of gentle brushes will leave you with healthier-looking hair and less breakage. With tools for every stroke of your routine, from massaging to detangling and blow-drying to styling, they’re your daily dose of confidence. So, you can take on whatever tangles life throws your way.
The Role
As our Production Planner, you’ll take the lead in ensuring our production plans are seamless, efficient, and ready to meet global demand. You’ll work across multiple production sites, balancing inventory requirements and demand forecasts to keep everything running smoothly. By optimizing capacity, aligning production schedules with key warehouse delivery dates and shipping deadlines, and staying in step with the priorities set by our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll help ensure our products reach our customers on time while keeping operations as efficient as possible.
In this role you’ll get to:
- Work closely with Sales Teams and Demand Planning to create a rolling 3-month confirmed Production Plan by SKU for multiple production sites, aligning with forecasts and desired stockholding positions.
- Present recommendations for stockholding positions using the planning function within AGR, identifying, communicating, and addressing situations where stocks are too high or too low.
- Manage long-term planning requirements and complete all planning and inventory reports on time and in full.
- Develop a 12-month rolling plan at the Product Group level, accounting for production frequency of slower-moving lines.
- Collaborate with production suppliers to optimize production schedules by grouping colours and product groups, ensuring efficiencies and maximizing outputs.
- Ensure production running schedules align with critical monthly shipping cut-off dates.
- Provide day-to-day visibility of production expectations to support sales order fulfillment.
- Lead production calls with manufacturers, addressing potential issues and communicating any foreseen changes to the plan.
- Oversee component management by partnering with the Component Planner to ensure all ‘free-issue’ components are available on time at manufacturing sites.
- Define stock allocations for high-demand Product Groups/SKUs with restricted inventory volumes, in collaboration with Sales Teams.
- Utilise inventory reports from the Masterdata Coordinator to manage inventory levels at warehouse locations, ensuring they remain within agreed targets, and taking immediate action to address exceptions.
- Create monthly S&OP slides to analyze performance and exceptions for capacity, supply, and impacts on working capital budgets, supporting strategic decision-making and priority setting.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete lines for Finished Goods & Component Stocks in collaboration with the Component Planner, assessing Value at Risk (VAR) and supporting manufacturing policy decisions.
What we are looking for in you:
- At least three years of experience in Supply & Production Planning, working within retail or distributor sectors.
- Knowledge of plastic injection moulding is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong data analytics skills.
- Experience with MS Office, Dynamics Navision software, and MRP and S&OP processes is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, with accountability and excellent time management skills.
- A proactive approach, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and improve processes.
We know that imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates, so please don’t hesitate to apply even if you don’t tick everything on the list — we’d love to hear from you!
